Our Legacy

KTS Sea Safety is an approved service centre for liferafts, lifejackets, immersion suits, inflatable MOB buoys, inflatable self-righting equipment, and rescue boats. We are also an approved shore-based maintenance facility for EPIRBs, PLBs, and GMDSS equipment. Our team manages a fleet of over 200 SOLAS and leisure hire liferafts.

KTS Sea Safety stocks and provides many of the world's leading maritime safety brands, including RFD, Crewsaver, Pains Wessex, Plastimo, Baltic, and more. We are approved distributors for over 120 manufacturers, including Jabsco, Ocean Signal, MG Duff, Pains Wessex and Comet, Seastar and many more.

Our depot in Kilkeel, where it all began, was originally called Kilkeel Trawler Supplies and serves the commercial fishing industry. Our Newtownards depot includes our liferaft and lifejacket service station as well as a well-stocked chandlery and marine equipment centre.

KTS holds one of the most comprehensive ranges of marine products in Europe. We carry over 4,000 active stock lines and supply all marine sectors — leisure, commercial fishing, merchant shipping, MOD, government departments, and NGOs.

We are the developers of SAMS (Safety Asset Management System), a cloud-based system that allows clients to manage all their safety equipment. It provides service reminders, detailed record keeping, and compliance reporting.
